VSD Challenge #2

I hope everyone is enjoying our VSD. If your not able to join us during the VSD hours, good news, you can still participate in this challenge.

Ribbon, who does not LOVE ribbon?? With this challenge you'll have the chance to win over 40 yards of ribbon. You'll receive what is pictured here PLUS more!!!

So what do you need to do to enter to win?????

Create 4, 1 page scrapbook page layouts. These pages must be atleast 8x8 in size, contain 2 or more photos, and atleast 1 embelishment. Is it ok to use pre-made pages you received from swaps? ABSOLUTLY!!!

After you complete your 4 pages, post them on your blog and then leave a comment on this blog post. I will then place your names into a hat and pull a winner.

The good news, you have all night to work on your pages, even after our VSD ends. The deadline to post your pages on your blog is Monday, December 14th at 9:00am EST.

VSD Challenge #1

Lucky me....I get to start us off tonight! I hope you guys are ready for a great evening of stamping and crafting with all the gals from our Crafty Critter Blog Group! I unfortunetly will not be able to be up all night to participate in all the challenges but I will be up for a while to play along with you all and chat!

So let's get started!!!! Have you all finished your Christmas cards yet? Well if not...this challenge is for you. We are going to make 2 Christmas cards tonight.

Card #1 Monocramatic The link will take you to SCS's TLC#13. This should be interesting to see how well we work with just two colors one of those colors being a neutral color! This includes all embellishements too....so if you pick green and vanilla...you can only use that color green and vanilla for everything on your card...including your ink and embellishments!

Card #2 Paper Piecing The link is going to take you again to SCS's TLC#39. I love to do paper piecing and I would love to see you all give it a try also. The only thing I ask is that you again, make it a Christmas card.

I hope you have fun with my challenges and don't worry...there will be prizes....Yes, I said prizes, one for both techniques. I too will allow you to work on your cards throughout the night but would like them to be posted by 9:00 am EST. Please post them on your blog with VSD Challenge #1.
Here is what you'll be getting from me:

Challenge #11 - Non Traditional Christmas Card

Crafty Critters Challenge #11

Here is a little hint......
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know,
Where the treetops glisten, and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white.......

Can you believe that Christmas is almost here?!? Do you have your Christmas cards done? No, well I hope my challenge will put you in the mood, but wait what would a challenge be without a twist. You are challenged to create a Non-Traditional Christmas card using the following......

Use SCS Card Sketch 240
No Red or Green
Use Stickles and Ribbon
Use Any Christmas Image (Besure to check out my blog, I have lots of links to blogs with Freebies)

Post your no earlier than Sunday, November 8th and no later than Thursday, November 12, 2009. This gives everyone about 2 weeks to create your submission.

Can't wait to see you cards!!!!

Welcome!!

Ok Crafty Critters here we go. This will be our home for our challenges. At no point do we ever want to become overwhelmed. I want you to beable to participate in challenges whenever you are able to. Our challenges are designed to help you stay motivated to keep your blog updated. If you ever want to host a challenge I would love to have you help out. The possibilities are endless and its positive to have everyone host a challenge to keep the ideas fresh and new. Just shoot me a PM or an email at newbymom@embarqmail.com to get on the "schedule."

Please lets keep our chit chat on the SCS thread and allow this blog for posting our challenges and signing up for them. To sign up for a challenge just post a comment on the post and the "facilitator" of that challenge will keep track of the list.

Something I would like your feedback on, do we want to welcome others to participate in our challenges or do want to keep this exclusive???? I think there would be pros and cons to both so you tell me what you think.

Lastly, please add this blog to your blog scroll on your sidebar. This will help you know when something new is added to the blog. If you ever want to double check your list to make sure you have everyone on it, come here and check out the scroll on the left sidebar, this is our group.

Following this post you will find our current challenge that is open right now by Tracey Clark (traceyc0103).

Have a fun night and welcome!!!
